A woman with curly hair and glasses, dressed in a plaid shirt and jeans, is sitting on a chair, painting on a large canvas with trees. She is holding a cup and a small palette. Several framed landscape paintings hang on the wall behind her.

“Before I begin to paint an artwork, I tune into the emotions I want the viewer to feel from the painting. I then paint the words onto the blank canvas with the intention they will be felt when connecting with the piece.

These are words like calm, peaceful, relaxed, joy that will hopefully radiate from the artwork.”
